Alexa Meade measurements, bio, height, weight, shoe, and bra size
The shadows she observed in the grass inspired her to spend months developing an approach that in contrast did not portray the chosen object on canvas. It is more like the image has been transformed to it's own representation which is based on the artist's interpretation. This works best when working with living things or objects that can be perishable like people or fruits. Alexa's style of painting is ephemeral and only the photos of her work remain. Both the painting and photographic techniques are so tightly coordinated that the end result is an unflat, 2-dimensional space, which achieves trompe-l'oeil. In this, the third dimension is only visible in specific areas like near the eyes or in hair. At times, Meade integrates her painted models into the 3D space around them, allowing them to engage with their own self-created environment. It eliminates any distinction between painting, photography and installation.
